The audio benefits of acrylic are well known....There's a reason high-end 'Audiophile' turntables use the material, especially in the platter for direct contact with the vinyl!
Different platter materials (and designs) be it resin, glass, MDF, various alloys or holographic snake oil infused carbonite, all 'colour' the sound of vinyl playback with their own unique sonic signatures. Acrylic being relatively dense while similar in mechanical impedance and properties to vinyl is generally regarded to give playback a less 'splashy', natural see through sound with improved mid-range and tighter bass. Precision engineered in the UK from high quality acrylic using Formula One/Aerospace specification CNC equipment, our platter is hand finished to ensure the quality is second to none. Featuring an attractive clear finish our superb platter is designed to complement your prized turntable..Lets’ face it, as much as we love our turntables unfortunately they spend a majority of time not playing. With our Cherry Audio platter your beloved record player will look its best even when not in action.
